Our journey begins with a city, nestled at the foot of the snow-capped Tien Shan mountain range: Almaty, the apple of Kazakhstan's eye. This metropolitan gem boasts a vibrant blend of modernity and tradition, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the country's rich history and promising future.

Immerse yourself in the natural beauty and rich history of Almaty by visiting Panfilov Park and the iconic Zenkov Cathedral, a wooden Orthodox church over a century old. We’ll visit Panfilov’s Park, the memorial museum and apartment of Dinmukhamed Akhmetovich Kunaev, and Kok Tobe – a mountain located in the southeastern part of Almaty.

Charyn Canyon an impressive natural wonder located about 200 kilometers east of Almaty. The canyon is often compared to the Grand Canyon in the United States. Its red rock formations, winding paths, and stunning views make it a must-visit destination for nature lovers.

Following the Canyon we will head to Kolsai Lake, which is located in the Northern Tien Shan Mountains, and has a series of three beautiful alpine lakes, with the first lake being the most visited. The water is crystal clear and the surrounding forest is full of wildlife.

We conclude our nature journey with Lake Kaindy. Lake Kaindy is not just a lake, but a real natural wonder hidden in the mountains of Kazakhstan. It’s like something out of a fairy tale: its most striking feature is the sunken pines, whose trunks stick out of the water like giant skeletons, creating a mesmerizing and slightly eerie landscape. The lake is striking for its turquoise waters, which seem to glow from within. The color of the water changes depending on the time of day and weather, shifting from sky blue to emerald. Lake Kaindy is shrouded in legends. One of them says that the lake was formed as a result of an earthquake that blocked the gorge and flooded the trees.

To learn more about the life of nomads, today we will engage in various traditional activities. We’ll go horseback riding, try our hand at archery, and take a ride on the traditional Altybakan swing. Kazakh culture, based on a nomadic lifestyle, is unthinkable without horses. Horses were revered as friends and always treated with special respect. We’ll have the opportunity to get closer to these wise animals and experience the freedom and spirit of nature.
